Community transformation is at the heart of outreach in our village

YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN OUR COMMUNITY, TOO.

We don't just offer relief. We know our neighbors by name, too.

Derived from the scripture Psalm 37:3, our Acholi name, ‘Gen’ House, reflects our short and long term plans for our village: “To trust [God], to do good, to dwell in the land, and to feed on [God’s] faithfulness.”

Since our founding in 2016, we have remained steadfast in that commitment to witness God’s faithfulness unfold in our village through sustainable community development.

The more we grew in relationship with our neighbors, the more we realized that large-scale relief like a church, clean water, and schools were needed; though in addition to everyday needs like clothing, healthcare, Bibles, and reading books for children.

Help us meet those needs today and alleviate daily hardship in our community.

Our village is counting on us.

Let’s make a difference together.

Host a Book Drive in your Community

When you host a book drive in your community, you help us fulfill our mission to provide access to education in our village and more specifically, books! Most of the children in our village will spend their entire lives without ever owning one, but you can help us change that! Click below to help us build our school library and offer them a world of opportunity through literacy!

Collect School Supplies for our Students

The inability to afford school supplies can refuse a child’s education in our village simply because items like pens and notebooks are too expensive for a family. Parents want to send their children to school, and we have the opportunity to guarantee that by providing the supplies to best equip their children for the classroom. Collect Manipulatives for our Classrooms

Manipulatives are physical objects used as teaching tools to engage students in hands-on learning. Think of legos for engineering, clocks for telling time, geoboards for geometry, or even unifix cubes for simple math. Items like these will allow our students an opportunity to explore ideas beyond the blackboard, opposed to Uganda’s common teaching style of rote memorization.

Donate Clothes & Shoes to our Rural Village

For many of our students, a school uniform will serve as their nicest pair of clothes among tattered, ruined clothing worn daily. This includes having no shoes or those with holes due to trekking long distances for many years. Blessing our village with your gently-used clothing items is a dignifying way to meet their daily needs amid great hardship.
