THE CONSTRUCTION OF OUR adminIstrative support house IS CURRENTLY ONGOING
Quality education means our teachers and administration must be supported, too.
Building Phase III
Current state of our construction up to the roofing beams
Last year we broke ground in January 2021 to begin building our first structure! This ongoing construction will be an administrative support house for our nursery (U.S. preschool equivalent) opening in February 2023, and this year we’re excited to FINISH it!
This administrative support house will serve orphaned and vulnerable children as originally intended by ensuring our school’s faculty and staff are adequately supported. Because our village is remote, this house is greatly needed to sustain our presence in the community— the daily lives and homes of our future students— and involvement in the school. In other words, when our administration is well cared for, our children are too!
This house will also allow our directors to be on-site daily, and provides room for their living quarters, school office spaces, a mini clinic, and a library as school resources. Ultimately, this five-room house meets our long-term goal of establishing a forever presence in our rural village to simultaneously care for children and meet the needs of our neighbors, beginning with the opening of this house and our first school.
Now that the roofing beams are up, we invite you to help us meet the remaining goal of $30,000 to finish and furnish the house!

INTRO PHASE: MOBILIZATION TO THE SITE
We broke ground on Wednesday, January 27, 2021! What a momentous day to rejoice for the hope coming to orphaned children in Northern Uganda! Phase I of the construction should last for approximately three weeks and includes mobilization to the site, bush burning to clear the ground, excavation to set the foundation and building the main walls.
PHASE I: GROUNDBREAKING AND FOUNDATION SETTING
We broke ground on Wednesday, January 27, 2021! What a momentous day to rejoice for the hope coming to orphaned children in Northern Uganda! Phase I of the construction should last for approximately three weeks and includes mobilization to the site, bush burning to clear the ground, excavation to set the foundation and building the main walls.
PHASE II: BUILDING OUT THE MAIN WALLS
Phase II was a busy time on site yet the most exciting! The builders worked diligently to build out the main walls of the home, raising them to the beam level so that Phase III could have a successful start to the roofing and installation of doors and windows.
